Panels, Patterns and Sizes

What are PrivacyPlus+ panels made of?
PrivacyPlus+ panels are laser-cut from 6063-T6 aluminum, a commercial-grade structural aluminum, and powder-coated black.
What patterns are available?
Three: Nature, Linear and Signal. Every pattern comes in both panel sizes and in matching gates. See them all on the Privacy Panels page.
Which pattern gives the most privacy?
Signal gives the most privacy, then Linear, then Nature. More in choosing a privacy panel pattern.
What sizes do the panels come in?
Every pattern comes in 36" x 68" and 24" x 68". Your contractor can mix the two widths to fit your space.
How tall are PrivacyPlus+ panels and gates?
Every PrivacyPlus+ panel and gate is 68 inches tall.
How tall is an installed panel?
Panels are 68 inches tall and sit 2 1/4 inches off the deck or other mounting surface, so the top of an installed panel is about 70 1/4 inches above that surface. Posts are 72 inches tall.
Where can PrivacyPlus+ panels be used?
PrivacyPlus+ panels are made for decks, patios, pergolas, pool areas, docks and other outdoor living spaces, including a deck privacy screen, a patio privacy screen or a screen for pool equipment. Panels attach to posts, and the posts mount on a deck, a concrete patio or another solid, secure surface.
Can PrivacyPlus+ go on a concrete patio?
Yes. The posts mount on concrete with concrete screws (anchors), and the panels attach to the posts. Panels don't mount directly to the concrete.
Gates
Are there gates that match the panels?
Yes. PrivacyPlus+ gates are laser-cut like the panels and come in the same Nature, Linear and Signal patterns, in 36" x 68" and 48" x 68", built from the same powder-coated aluminum as the panels.
What comes with a gate?
Each gate includes hinges, a latch and a self-closing closure unit.
Hardware

Is hardware included with the panels?
No. Panel hardware is sold separately: posts, brackets and powder-coated stainless steel fasteners. See the Hardware page. Gates are the exception; each gate includes its hinges, latch and self-closing closure unit.
What posts do the panels use?
72-inch black 3" x 3" posts with a cap and skirt. Posts are spaced 36 or 24 inches apart to match the panel width.
What are the fasteners made of?
Powder-coated stainless steel. Like the posts and brackets, they are sold separately from the panels.
Installation, Care and Local Rules
Who installs PrivacyPlus+?
Your contractor. PrivacyPlus+ is a modular system, so a contractor can install it in hours, not days.
How do I clean PrivacyPlus+ panels?
Wash them with soap and water to clear dust or debris. They never need painting, staining or sealing.
Will the panels rot or warp?
No. Aluminum won't rot, warp or decay over time.
Do I need HOA approval or a permit?
It depends on where you live. Check with your HOA and local building department before you start.
